Had some real good guys come down to fish from Chicago they ended the night with some nice Lunkers. Tarpon and d snook Ft Lauderdale.

Just got home. Great to be back to cold/snow. Was wondering if you still had the other couple of photos you took that didn’t make the report. I would like to archive those and send to buddies. A couple of my buddies from up here are trying to figure out how to get to South Florida after seeing the pics on your site.
Here’s the deal..
Got a chance to do some doggin’ with Cpt’n Jeff this year and just as you would have guessed, the trip was a blast. Just as has been the case lately, the evening started off a little slow as far as the Tarpon went, but we were able to boat a couple of good sized snook to keep us busy early.
Had a couple big mid trip strikes that we couldn’t get hooked up. I’m going to blame it on our FUI (fishing under influence) technique, but whatever.
Just after sunset, a line peeling dragon wanted some. After a half hour and half mile to sea, the 80 pound Tarpon was in the boat. Throw in a couple of red snapper for good measure and that’s a night on water.
Jeff, book my trip for next year. The only thing I’m doing different is going out every night!
