A guide friend of mine ( Jimmy from GETCHASOME CHARTERS) called me up last week to ask if I could help him take a group of 6 out fishing this week. They fished for sailfish first and had a good day landing two sailfish and about 10 nice kings. later that afternoon they wanted to catch a tarpon. Only three had enough energy for the tarpon trip. Kevin Kolb from the NFL Philadelphia Eagles and two of his business associates (Jeff and Dusty) from back home in Texas. Fishing started a little slow as we waited for our chances. As the tide ended we got our chances we ended up getting two tarpon to the boat and a big fish around 80 to 100 pound breaking the leader right in our faces. With about 9 opportunities These guys hung in there and ended having a good night fishing. Congratulations on your first tarpon guys it was great fishing with you. We will edit this post when these guys send us their report.
