We recently had the privilege of fishing with Captain Jeff for the fist time. I have fished and hunted over 40 years. Not once have I had a better day on the water than I did with Captain Jeff! This was my first tarpon trip and I can’t wait for the next. The evening started with two small red snapper. Jeff moved the boat to a more productive spot and four hours of fishing time evaporated in what seamed to be a matter of minutes. I hooked into a barracuda with an attitude problem that drug me in a circle around the boat. I took my first tarpon only a few minutes later. Captain Jeff hooked into another tarpon seconds after releasing the first. This one was handed over to my wife to deal with. One of my proudest moments was seeing the approving smile on Captain Jeff’s face as my wife proceeded to show that tarpon who was boss. The next fish was a rather large sized tarpon on 10 lb test. All went well until I made the mistake of trying to stop a freight train by thumbing the spool of the reel. The next fish was a scrappy snook that kept me busy for a while. The evening ended with the Captain and I hooking into and landing a double! I found the entire Lunkerdog.com experience to be top of the line. All of Jeff’s equipment from the boat to the bait is the best of the best.

It was a very memorable experience for my wife and I. We were very fortunate to be able to go out with Captain Jeff on such short notice. He was very accommodating. The trip back to the boat ramp provided us with awesome views of the city at night.
