Tonight’s South Florida fishing report was a total mixed bag of fish. I had jeff and his buddy stew on the boat tonight and we had steady action during the whole fishing trip.

We set up just north of Ft Lauderdale and started drifting off the beach. We started seeing tarpon as soon as we started our drift. We caught this tarpon with in the first 20 minutes. Here is the report from Jeff and Stew!

We fished t last night for tarpon and started with a high slack tide. Tarpon were rolling everywhere and I do mean everywhere. They were rolling and busting shrimp on both sides of the jetty and well past the channel marker. I broke the ice (it was cold!) with a nice yellowtail. But it was my buddy Stew who had the hot hand and landed a keeper size grouper followed by two tarpon, both in the 30-40 lb range. I pulled a black drum from the rocks of the jetty only to be camera man for Stew’s two linesiders!  We jumped off five more tarpon with the largest about 70 lbs. Bottom of the ninth I landed our 8th tarpon, another 30 pounder and we called it a night. It was an awesome trip and good to fish the cut again on an absolutely beautiful night.  Thank you Capt. Jeff, I’m glad I saw you Bill Dance Saltwater and we were able to fish together!

With you they call it catching!
Jeff

We ended up 3 for 9 on tarpon. 2 for 2 on snook a grouper , black drum, some snappers and jacks.

These guys crushed it and it was a great inshore fishing day.

I could not have been happier for them!
