Jeff,
Thanks again! We had a great time!
I have been sharing pics and stories w/ friends and family. I think you will be taking out even more Maine anglers in the future.
Report:
Mark and Bree 4/20, 4/23.
We had the incredible opportunity to go Tarpon fishing with Captain Jeff on two separate days. This was our first guided fishing trip. Captain Jeff certainly provides a full service day on the water. He has a great personality and was able to fill us in on area as well as angling information.
We were “on fish” both days. Day one fish were all around us. They were a bit slow in eating but they were there. The weather was less than ideal but still better than Maine! We had several bites from Tarpon and Cuda.

Day 2 was absolutely amazing! Tarpon were rolling all around us to start the day. They were not eating so Captain Jeff expertly took us to a different location.
We fished a stretch that included a hole where you could plainly see fish on the electronics. Captain Jeff fished this area patiently and thoroughly. The whole time encouraging us and prompting us to “be ready”. Finally I drew a vicious strike from a huge tarpon that ran and jumped 7 feet in the air before spitting the mullet. That was by far the most amazing thing I had scene on the water!. Shortly after I hooked up with what ended up being a 100+ pound Tarpon.

The fight was way more than I thought it would be!! Was a high that will not soon be duplicated. There were spectator boats that stayed and cheered for the entire 20-30 min fight. We boated the fish and now have a picture and a story that will be looked at and told for years to come.
We had several more fish on immediately after that. We stayed out on the water into the night until Bree hooked up with a Tarpon in the 75 pound range.

The best part was there was another fishing boat 100 yards away. Shows just how good Captain Jeff is at what he does!! Literally “in your face” fishing! Just glad I was not on that boat. After about 30 Minutes Bree got the fish along side the boat and released it. That was the perfect ending to our two days on the water!
If you are at all contemplating taking a trip with Captain Jeff, stop contemplating and book it now. You will certainly not regret it, and may just have the time of your life! I know we did, and I simply can not wait to go out fishing with the Lunkerdog again!!
Thanks Captain Jeff,
Mark and Bree
