Justin and Shanna came down to Fort Lauderdale to do some tarpon fishing. They stayed at a real nice hotel right on Fort Lauderdale Beach just walking distance from where I picked them up to fish. We started casually at 4 PM the two days they spent fishing down here and stayed out to about 9 PM. Although this tarpon season was an extremely good one, these fish made this couple work for them. Justin and Shanna did not seem to mind as they stayed focused on catcher a nice lunker. The first day was all about Shanna she seemed to get all the strikes and she took advantage of them landing two nice tarpon on her first day out.
The next day was Justins turn but the fish really made it tough. He hung in there as the tarpon just would not get seroius for him. They did everything except eat his bait. Finally he got his shot, beautiful fish pounded his bait. Justin kept his poise and got good hook set as the tarpon jumped ten feet in the air. He fought this fish with great intensity and focus. We were able to get the leader and take this nice shot.
It was great having these two on the boat for two days. Congratulations those were some great fish you earned them!
