I wanted to get away for the 4th of July so I decided to take some time off and go fishing. Loaded the family on Spirit Airlines and headed to Boston. My cousin Eric was waiting for us to head to the beach. Eric is a true LunkerDog and had everything ready for us to have a great vacation. Eric predicted Bluefin and stripers would be biting!Well yesterday the Bluefin trip started at 4:30 in the morning. We headed out in search for for birds bait and tuna. It did not take long to find the birds and the bait and we were marking big fish down around 50 feet but did not get a hit for a couple of hours. around 9 about a 350 pound bluefin smashes our short bait we fight it for about an hour before we lose it very close to the boat. Spirits were down and it was very quite on the boat.
We put our lines back in and within ten minutes another nice fish smashes the short again this time the fish was a little smaller and was a little better fit for our 30lb tackle. After a an hour of battling the bluefin, we put this beauty in the cockpit.
It was the first big fish for Capt. Fran his son Taylor and my cousin Eric. We were all pretty stoked and called it a day.
Thanks Fran for bringing me fishing I am glad I could be a part of such an awsome day.

Eric you and your families hospitality was second to none thanks for making our vacation great!
